Relating to employment and labor law, I am
board-certified in the state of Florida as
an expert in labor law, and there's
probably less than 150
of us across the state.
I've also been designated as one of the
top 500 lawyers in employment law for
plaintiffs across the country by very
well known and renowned organizations.
You could not purchase these designations,
you had to be voted by other lawyers.
I'm very proud of our
employment and labor practice.
We have amazing cases where we've gotten
fantastic results for several clients,
numerous clients, and it's
been a passion of mine forever.
A good candidate, if someone comes to our
firm that needs a lawyer for an employment
case is someone that believes they've been
retaliated against, discriminated
against, or harassed.
We are looking for illegal activity
that has been done to our clients.
We also are going to be looking at whether
or not our client has suffered damages.
The most common mistake that clients make
before they get to us in the employment
practice, or if they have an employment
case, is that they don't
document their complaints.
Because many times we get into litigation
and the company or insurance company is
arguing, "Well, they never complained, and
they never put it in writing." So that's
a hurdle sometimes we have to deal with.
I would recommend always putting your
complaints in writing and make sure
the company knows how you feel.
The most common question that we get
from our employment and labor clients
is whether or not they have a case.
I mean, really, when someone's coming to
us, they want us to do a full-case
evaluation and let them know if they have
a case, and we'll be honest with them.
I mean, with our firm, you're
going to get an honest answer.
And if there's a way that I feel like
you've been wronged, that is illegal in
the state of Florida, there's 82
laws that employers have to follow.
Then we are going to take your case, and
we're going to give you a full evaluation,
and we're going to let you know that we
believe you do have a case
and pursue justice for you.
