These meetings help to forge the personal relationships that are so integral to Chanfrau & Chanfrau's success.

MR. WILLIAM CHANFRAU, SR.: Our first conferences are usually an hour to an hour and a half. The attorneys sit in all initial conferences of claims for personal injury. I like to meet the clients, I like to shake their hand, I like to hear from them personally what's going on in their lives and what's happened. It's a great time to find out about their background and about what really is the most serious problem they're experiencing physically, medically, economically as a result of a tragic loss. It helps me when they call on the telephone because then I can identify who they are. I like to know who I'm dealing with because we do a lot of litigation and juries are sensitive to the type of plaintiff. We take less than one in five cases that walks into this office or is referred here. We're selective about the cases we do take and we want to make sure that the people that we represent really need our help and are not using us.
