I was born and raised in Ormond Beach. I've never been anywhere but here. I went to school at Daytona State College, I stayed home, and that's where I graduated with a degree in paralegal studies. After I finished school, I found myself at Chanfrau & Chanfrau, and it's really just kind of blossomed.
My name's Amanda Manley. I've been a paralegal for six years now, all with Chanfrau & Chanfrau. I've always had such respect and kind of a passion for the legal field. You have to take a step back every day and realize you're dealing with people's worst days. When they come to you, it's not because they won the lottery. It's because something horrible happened to them or their family. It keeps me going, because every day there's a new story. I don't deal with the same thing every day. I deal with a new family or a new person, a new struggle, something else that I get to help them through.
A lot of our clients come from word of mouth. That's something that they've always been so proud of, and I understand. I have clients that send me new clients all the time to help them through something. When you think about how tremendous that is, that you helped somebody at one time and they thought enough of what you did to send family members or friends back to you, it's a big deal. It's not just some commercial they had that was funny or cute. It was the difference that we made.
