MS. ANNE MCGAN: I went to a plastic surgeon that kind of destroyed half of my face with a laser; he burned it. And the way it affects you mentally is you want to crawl in a hole and die and my kids kept telling me I had to go to a lawyer and I said no. I will not go anywhere. I'm not going to any lawyer. But you have to go to a lawyer; you have to at least try to put him out of business. And so my one daughter called up Chanfrau and Chanfrau and made an appointment for me even though I didn't want to go she made an appointment and I went and they made me feel so comfortable and so relaxed like they were my friends and I just met them.
I'm still friends with them. They're very friendly people and they make you feel very comfortable. It's not like coming to a stranger when you come here. You feel very, very comfortable around them. They make you feel comfortable and relaxed. And I didn't think that I would feel that way 'cause the way I felt when my face was burned I just felt like crawling in a hole and dying that's what I wanted to do. I didn't want to go out in public. I actually wore a paper surgical mask just so I could get out of the house and I thought if anybody was rude enough to ask me why I'm wearing it I'd tell them I had surgery done on my mouth and I'm trying to keep it clean. I just didn't want people to see me. It had a very bad effect on me mentally.
